Sight-seeing in Sitka
Since January of 1996 I have been secretary/administrative assistant for Sitka Lutheran Church. I have worked as a draftsman and secretary for various agencies or organizations before my employment at SLC.

I was raised in Beaverton, Oregon and met my husband, Greg, while attending Oregon State University in Corvallis. We have lived in Sitka since 1976. We have two adopted Korean children, our daughter, Emily, and son, Alexander.

My years in Sitka have been a rich and varied experience, filled with adventure and beauty. The land we live in is truly a wondrous place. The sunny days we treasure so outshine the numerous rainy ones, that I actually can forget how bad the weather can be.

My ministry as the administrative assistant at Sitka Lutheran has been rewarding and challenging. My gifts of organization and efficiency have been put to the test and I believe my efforts have paid off. The support and gratitude of the pastor and congregation are greatly appreciated. You see, I don’t consider it just a job…this is my calling.
